Pouring My Heart Out to You

God-

I feel so distant from you right now. I’ve done everything I thought I should be doing but I’ve realized that that isn’t what you want. I know the only reason why I’m so emotional is simply because you and I aren’t close like we have been. I’ve looked to other people for happiness and although some have been able to accomplish that, I need to be filled with your holy spirit and have a pure joy that only you can give me. So tonight please come into my life once again in a new way. That I may seek you first and foremost, and that I would look to the things that will help me, rather than hinder me. You know the stresses of my life and you know my weaknesses…please give me your strength Lord because I can’t do this alone. I need you today and all the days of my life. Help me to get back on track with you and to once again be at peace…total serenity. I love you and thank you for all that you’ve done and for all that you will do. I pray all these things in your name.
